The Missouri Agricultural Experiment Station (MOAES) is pleased to offer full-time summer internship positions at each of our outstate Research, Extension & Education Centers (REECs), exclusively for current full-time students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri.
Interns will gain direct, hands-on experience supporting impactful agricultural research, extension and community engagement initiatives under the mentorship of faculty and staff.
Eight positions are available for summer 2026, two at each REEC.

Participating Centers
- Central Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (CM-REEC) — Located near Columbia, this ~7,200-acre facility spans operations including dairy, beef, swine, specialty crops and natural areas.
- Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) — Composed of three properties totaling ~4,190 acres, with research focused on crop production, soil conservation, grazing systems and community-relevant agriculture.
- Southwest Research, Extension and Education Center (SW-REEC) — Situated near Mt. Vernon (893 acres), serving 22 counties and addressing regional needs in beef, forage and horticultural crop production.
- Fisher Delta Research, Extension and Education Center (FD-REEC) — Located in the Missouri Bootheel (~1,119 acres), this center focuses on crops vital to the region such as rice, cotton, soybeans and peanuts, and serves as an educational hub for farmers and students alike.
Housing may be available at SW-REEC and FD-REEC.
